We need a residential skills trainer to work with our sweet 9 year old son in our lovely home. We need a person who can help him with communication, daily living skills, socialization, behavior managment, applied behavior analysis, potty training, and giving the parents a break once in a while. Our 9 yo son enjoys swimming in our backyard pool so getting in a swimsuit and interacting with him in the pool is a must. Teaching our son not to stand on the 9 foot slide by the pool as well as working on other safety issues is also part of the job. Taking our son on bike rides is a must. Parents work with Gina Cosgrove, a well respected psychologist with expertise in autism spectrum disorders. Parents expect the person for this job to participate in these meetings with Dr. Cosgrove in order to learn from Dr. Cosgrove. Working with Dr. Cosgrvoe looks very good on a resume.
