General Function Under the general direction of the Daycare Director, the Assistant Infant Teacher is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate childcare program. Job Requirements AT Least 1 year of direct experience working with infants ages 6 weeks-18 months AAS in Child Development, Elementary Ed, Physical Ed, Recreation or related field and two years direct experience with children under age 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity OR Child Care Credential and two years direct experience with children under age 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity OR Two years of College with 18 credits in child development, elementary ed, physical ed, recreation or related field and two years direct experience with children under age 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Principal Responsibilities: 1.Assist with planning, implementing and supervising a developmentally and academically appropriate curriculum for the assigned program. 2.Ensure all applicable OCFS regulations are followed, including but not limited to ratios, child abuse reporting and emergency procedures. 3.Develop and consistently maintain appropriate and professional communication with parents. 4.Provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment for infants.
